Multiple Stakeholder Implementation

The initiative is private sector led, government owned, implemented by many stakeholders, and supported by development partners.

High-level commitment is the first feature of the strategy. The IB/IGB initiative is private sector led, government owned, multi-stakeholder implemented, and development partner supported. It is guided by a strategy and by cooperation agreements, including the memorandum signed in November 2024 by AGI, MoTAI and GIZ, and the re-endorsement by government in March 2025.

The work is not housed in a single office. An oversight board, a secretariat, three coordination committees, and champions inside the partner institutions share it. The secretariat is chaired by AGI and co-chaired by MoTAI. Companies, business associations, facilitators, impact investors and public agencies all have a place in implementation.

The composition of the board, the secretariat and the committees, and the list of institutional champions, are set out under Institutionalization.
