IB/IGB in GIZ
GIZ is a signatory of the 2024 memorandum and provided the first financing for the initiative.
In November 2024 the German Agency for International Cooperation signed the memorandum of agreement with AGI and MoTAI that established the strategic program. Initial financing for the IB/IGB initiative came from GIZ.
AGI is now approaching further sources, including private sector foundations, high-net-worth individuals, and corporate social responsibility opportunities. GIZ remains one of the development partners named in the institutional setup. On the oversight diagram, development-partner seats rotate, and GIZ is named among them together with the European Commission and the World Bank.
